Eventing is often described as the "equestrian triathlon" as it is made up of three phases. The phases include dressage, cross country, and show jumping and they test a variety of skills of both the horse and rider. Eventing has developed into an exciting sport that pulls in spectators and competitors of all ages. Levels range from Beginner Novice (2'7") to Advanced (3'11") and some smaller shows even welcome beginners at the Tadpole (2') level.
There is something for everyone in the sport of Eventing, from competing and being a part of the community to being a spectator or volunteer. To learn more about our beloved sport, head over to USEA's website or click here for a more in depth description.
